More about this game

Your goal is to defeat a series of ninja masters by surviving their attacks and striking back. Watch the enemy's attack sequence of directional swipes, spins, and quick taps. Once they finish, repeat the exact gestures before the timer runs out to deal damage. As you progress through 100 levels, combos grow longer and attack windows get shorter. Every tenth wave features a boss with more health. A run ends when your health drops to zero from missing gestures or running out of time.

Tips
  • You start the game with 100 HP. Making a mistake during your counterattack costs 12 damage, while missing a block costs 4 damage, so prioritize accuracy over speed.
  • Clearing a normal wave heals you for 5 HP, while defeating a boss every 10 waves restores 25 HP. Use these boss fights to recover from earlier mistakes.
  • Bosses can unleash complex combos up to 12 gestures long. Try breaking the sequence into smaller chunks of three or four moves in your head to remember them easier.
Questions

How many rounds are in Shadow Dance?

There are 100 total rounds, culminating in a final battle against Master Masamune, the Shadow Sovereign. The difficulty scales up as you get closer to level 100.

What happens if I take too long to counter?

If the counter timer runs out, you will take increased timeout damage (multiplied by 1.5) and lose your chance to attack for that turn. You will then have to defend against a new sequence.

How do the spin gestures work?

When a spin-left or spin-right icon appears, you need to draw a continuous circular motion on the screen. Make sure your swipe curves enough to register as a spin rather than a straight line.
