How to play

  1. Select a starting class, like the Grave Vanguard for 25 extra health or the Rift Scavenger for better artifact odds.
  2. Read the event descriptions and choose an action, balancing the risks to your health, sanity, and supply count.
  3. During combat, choose to Strike for damage, Focus to restore sanity and guard the next blow, or spend 1 supply to use a Relic.
  4. Equip up to two passive or active artifacts found after battles to boost your stats, replacing old ones if your slots are full.
  5. Survive as many encounters as possible, keeping in mind that bosses appear every five encounters and have unique abilities.

More about this game

Nexus Horror: Infinite RPG is a survival game where you navigate through five different realms, such as the Neon Ossuary and Abyssal Void. Your goal is to survive as long as possible by managing your health and sanity meters. The core loop involves making choices during narrative events and fighting enemies in turn-based combat. The difficulty increases as enemy health scales up by 3.5 percent with every streak point you earn, and every fifth encounter introduces a powerful boss. A run ends immediately when either your health or sanity reaches zero.

Tips
  • Focus during combat restores between 8 and 12 sanity, plus any class bonuses, and reduces the damage of the enemy's next attack to 38 percent.
  • Keep a close eye on your streak counter; every 5th encounter is a boss fight where the enemy has 2.4 times more base health.
  • Using a standard Relic in combat costs 1 supply but restores 22 health and 10 sanity, which can save you from a fatal blow.
Questions

What happens when my sanity reaches zero?

If either your health or your sanity drops to zero, your character is claimed by the Nexus and your run ends immediately. You will have to restart from the beginning.

How do I get more artifacts and supplies?

Artifacts have a 55 percent chance to drop after winning standard combat encounters, and bosses always drop them. Supplies are earned by making specific choices during text events or defeating bosses.

Do bosses have special attacks?

Yes, during their second phase, bosses use unique abilities every other turn. For example, the Nexus Unmaker uses Reality Shear which completely ignores your guard, and King Null locks your relic command.
