Your goal is to keep the Ancient Forge and yourself alive for two and a half minutes against relentless waves of elemental spirits. You must strike down enemies and collect their dropped essences. Every 25 seconds, the forge awakens, allowing you to spend your collected materials on elemental weapon upgrades like frost rings or chain lightning. As time passes, stronger elite enemies spawn in greater numbers. A run ends in victory if you survive the timer, or in defeat if either your 100 health or the forge's 180 health reaches zero.
Tips
- Save at least 6 mixed essences for when the ritual becomes available every 70 seconds to activate massive buffs like the Oath of Iron.
- Focus on upgrading one or two weapon types to level 3 to unlock their Legendary evolution, which combines two elemental effects.
- Collect 6 souls across your runs to unlock the Tempered Heart upgrade on the game over screen, permanently increasing your starting health by 25.

How do I heal the forge?
You can fully restore the forge's 180 health by performing the Oath of Iron ritual. This requires 6 mixed essences and becomes available at specific intervals during the run.
What do the different elemental essences do?
Enemies drop fire, frost, storm, shadow, or nature essences. You spend these specific colors at the forge every 25 seconds to unlock or upgrade weapons of the matching element.
How do I get a Masterpiece weapon?
After you have crafted at least two weapons, there is a small 3.5 percent chance for the forge to offer a Masterpiece called The Last Word, which fires a piercing crown of all five elements.
