More about this game
Your goal is to reduce the rival citadel's health from 12 to zero. You start each round by drawing cards and spending mana to place champions into three distinct lanes or cast spells. Unused mana automatically banks up to 3 points for future spells. The attack token alternates each round, dictating who can initiate combat. As rounds progress, your maximum mana increases up to 6, allowing for stronger combinations. The duel ends when a citadel falls, or after six rounds, where the player with the most health or highest board power wins.
Tips
- Save up to 3 unused mana at the end of a round; it automatically converts into spell mana, which is perfect for funding your 2-cost Ember Sigil cards.
- The Arcane Archer deals 4 damage but only has 2 health, making it perfect for striking empty lanes to damage the citadel rather than defending against enemy units.
- If the game reaches the maximum of 6 rounds, ties are broken by total board power, so keep high-health units like the Verdant Warden alive to secure the win.
Questions
How does combat work?
When you press the attack button, your units strike the enemies directly across from them in their specific lane. If the opposing lane is completely empty, your champions will deal their attack damage directly to the rival citadel instead.
What happens if I pass my turn?
Passing hands the action over to the rival. If both players pass consecutively without taking any actions, the current round ends immediately, and both players draw new cards while refreshing their mana pools up to the new round limit.
How do I use spell cards?
Spells like the Ember Sigil cost 2 mana to cast. Drag them onto a specific enemy unit to deal 3 damage, or drop them onto the empty rival side of the board to damage their citadel directly.
