More about this game
Your goal is to reach the peak of a randomized mountain route. You climb by aiming at the next hold and leaping to it, moving across five distinct lanes. As you ascend through five biomes—from the Lower Forest to the Summit Approach—the weather worsens and the difficulty increases. You must dodge falling rocks, ice chunks, and snow slides, while bracing against heavy wind gusts that can blow you off the wall. If you miss a grab or take a hit, you fall back to your last rope anchor checkpoint. The run ends when you secure the summit platform.
Tips
- Hazards give a 1.75-second warning before falling down a lane, giving you just enough time to leap to an adjacent lane.
- Wind gusts push you with a force of 62, so make sure you are firmly attached to a hold or sheltered under a ledge when the 1.5-second warning timer hits zero.
- Look for shortcut routes that carry a higher risk but help you bypass difficult sections faster. You can leap to holds within a 310-unit grab range.
Questions
What happens if I fall off the mountain?
If you miss a grab or get hit by a falling rock, your rope catches you. You are safely returned to the last anchor station or checkpoint you activated, though it adds to your total fall count.
What are the relics used for?
There are 12 hidden relics scattered across the mountain, such as the Golden Summit Bell and Bronze Ibex. Collecting them unlocks cosmetic options for your rope, helmet, and jacket trim.
Does the mountain change every time I play?
Yes, every expedition generates a fresh route with different weather patterns, hazard frequencies, and hold placements. The mountain scales up to 5880 meters depending on the route.
