More about this game
In Cake Stack, your goal is to build the tallest cake tower possible. A new cake layer slides back and forth across the screen. You must drop it exactly on top of the previous layer. If it hangs over the edge, the extra piece is sliced off, making your next target smaller. The sliding speed starts at 142 and increases by 7.2 with every layer you place, capping at 330. The run ends when you miss the tower completely or your remaining slice becomes thinner than 24 pixels.
Tips
- Aim for perfect drops. If you are within 7 pixels of the center, the layer snaps into place perfectly and keeps its full width.
- Perfect drops increase your combo multiplier. A perfect drop gives you a base bonus of 75 points, plus 18 extra points for every combo level you have.
- If you cannot get a perfect drop, try to keep at least 92 percent of the layer intact to maintain your current combo level instead of losing it.
Questions
What happens if I don't line up the layers perfectly?
The part of the layer that hangs over the edge gets chopped off. This makes your tower narrower and harder to hit on the next turn. If you keep less than 72 percent of the layer, you will get a wobbly warning.
How do I get a higher score?
Stacking perfectly builds a combo and gives you bonus points. You also earn base points equal to 100 times the percentage of the layer you successfully kept.
When does the game end?
The game ends if you miss the tower entirely, or if your chopped layer becomes smaller than the minimum width of 24 pixels.
