Rhythms of the Heart is a rhythm game where you play a family song on the guitar. Watercolor notes travel down three lanes toward the guitar line. You must tap the matching color when the note reaches the line, and keep holding for ribbon notes. Hitting notes builds Family Joy, while missing them drains it. The run ends in success if you survive the 50-second song, or fails early if your joy meter drops to zero.
Tips
- Watch the guitar line closely; you have a 280-millisecond window for a Good hit, but a 135-millisecond window for a Perfect hit.
- Don't release ribbon notes early. You must hold them until the glow reaches the end, or you will lose joy.
- Missing a note costs 7 joy points, but hitting one only restores 3.2 points, so accuracy is more important than speed.
Questions
How do I get a Perfect hit?
You must tap the note within 135 milliseconds of it reaching the guitar line. A Perfect hit gives you a small bonus to your joy meter.
What happens if I miss a note?
Missing a note breaks your streak and subtracts 7 points from your joy meter. If the meter reaches zero, the song stops and you must restart.
How long is the game?
A successful run lasts exactly 50 seconds. A timer at the top of the screen shows how much of the song is left.
