More about this game
In Rocket Fuel, you race against a team of three rival bots to fill your rocket with fuel. You must collect fuel canisters scattered around the arena and deposit them at your launch pad. Larger canisters give more fuel but slow your movement speed down significantly. You can bump into rivals to make them drop their fuel, but they can do the exact same to you. The match ends when a team reaches the 100-point fuel goal or the 90-second timer runs out.
Tips
- Large fuel canisters are worth 35 points but slow you down by 35 percent, making you an easy target for bumps.
- Grab the speed boots power-up to get a 1.38x speed multiplier for 5 seconds, helping you outrun rivals and secure large fuel canisters quickly.
- Use the shield power-up to protect yourself from being bumped. If a rival hits you while shielded, you keep your fuel but lose the shield.
Questions
How do I win the match?
You win by reaching the fuel goal of 100 points before the rival team, or by having more fuel deposited when the 90-second match timer runs out.
What do the different fuel sizes mean?
Small blue fuel gives 10 points and a 10 percent slow, medium yellow gives 20 points and a 20 percent slow, and large pink gives 35 points and a 35 percent slow.
How does the bumping mechanic work?
If you and a rival collide and one of you is moving faster than 2.2 speed, the bumped robot is stunned for 0.4 seconds and drops their carried fuel.
