More about this game
In Chrono Shift, you guide a golden orb through a neon gauntlet of descending cyan and pink hazards. The goal is to survive as long as possible while racking up points. You can hold the screen to slow time by 70 percent, giving you a chance to maneuver through tight spots, but this drains your Chrono meter at double the speed it recharges. The difficulty multiplier increases by 10 percent every 15 seconds, making hazards fall faster. A run ends instantly if your 34-pixel orb hits any obstacle.
Tips
- Use the slow-time feature sparingly; it drains at 34 units per second but only recharges at 17 units per second, meaning it takes twice as long to recover.
- Try to graze hazards within the 68-unit range to build your combo multiplier up to 9x, which awards 900 points per near-miss.
- Keep your combo alive by getting another near-miss within 4 seconds, otherwise your multiplier resets back to 1x.
Questions
How do I score more points?
You score passive points over time, but you can significantly boost your score by grazing hazards. This triggers a Near-Miss, adding 100 points multiplied by your current combo.
What happens when the Chrono meter is empty?
When the 100-capacity Chrono meter hits zero, time returns to normal speed automatically. You must release the screen to let it recharge before you can slow time again.
Does the game get harder?
Yes, the difficulty multiplier increases by 10 percent every 15 seconds. This makes the obstacles spawn faster than the base 0.82-second interval and move quicker down the screen.
