More about this game

Date with a Gentleman is a conversation simulation where your goal is to secure a second date. The core loop involves reading the gentleman's messages and choosing or typing replies that show respect, curiosity, and emotional intelligence. Your choices affect the chemistry meter, which starts at 42%. The difficulty depends on your word choice; repeating topics or using negative words drops your score. The run ends when you reach the 8-round limit, drop below the 24% rejection floor, or successfully hit the 78% second date threshold.

Tips
  • Asking questions boosts your score. Including a question mark in your typed response adds a bonus to your chemistry gain.
  • Keep your typed messages thoughtful and at least 12 characters long, otherwise you receive a penalty for being too brief.
  • Avoid repeating conversation topics. If you bring up a subject you already discussed, you lose points, so keep the chat fresh.
Questions

How do I win the game?

You need to raise the chemistry meter to the second date threshold, which is 78% by default, before you run out of the 8 allowed conversation rounds.

What happens if I say something rude?

Using negative words like "boring" or "money", or moving too fast, lowers the chemistry meter. If it drops to 24% or below after round 4, the date ends early.

Can I type my own answers?

Yes, you can type your own messages up to 180 characters. The game analyzes your words for positive sentiment, penalizing multiple exclamation points or very short replies.
