You must balance speed with caution, switching between a wide shovel and a precise brush to safely extract fossils and maximize your score before time runs out.
Tips
- Use the shovel with its 112 pixel radius to quickly clear large areas, but switch to the 42 pixel brush when near red dynamite.
- Listen for the warning hiss and watch for the red flash; it means you have revealed over 34 percent of a dynamite stick.
- You only need to reveal 68 percent of a fossil to collect it, so move on once the points pop up to save time.

What happens if I hit dynamite?
If you reveal 50 percent or more of a dynamite stick, it explodes, shaking the screen and ending your run immediately. You will lose any remaining time on the clock.
How do I score points?
You score points by successfully revealing fossils hidden in the sand. Small fossils are worth 40 points, medium ones grant 90 points, and large fossils give you 180 points.
