How to play
- Move your character around the grid using WASD, arrow keys, or the on-screen d-pad.
- Tap the bomb button or Space to drop a standard bomb with a cross blast.
- Hold the bomb button to charge and fire an Overcharge bomb for a larger blast.
- Break bricks to reveal hidden chests, collect them all, and escape through the gate.
- Dodge your own blasts, flying arrows, spikes, and boss attacks to survive.

In Grid Bomb Arena, your goal is to clear the board by bombing bricks, collecting hidden chests, and escaping through the exit gate. The core loop involves navigating a grid, strategically placing bombs, and dodging hazards like arrows and spikes. As you progress, traps become faster and every fifth level introduces a challenging boss fight with unique attack patterns. A run ends if you lose all five of your lives to hazards or your own blasts.
Tips
- Standard bombs have a 2.5-second fuse and a blast radius of 2 tiles. Move out of the cross-shaped blast zone immediately.
- Hold the bomb button for 1.5 seconds to fire an Overcharge bomb. It clears a massive area but costs you one life.
- Listen for the sharp audio cue. Spikes give a 0.5-second warning before becoming lethal, giving you a brief window to step away.
Questions
How do I defeat the boss?
Bosses appear every 5th level. Dodge their projectiles and floor hazards, wait for their weak spot to appear, and hit it with a bomb blast 3 times.
What do the different bricks do?
Standard bricks crumble when bombed. Volatile bricks detonate instantly when hit, triggering chain reactions that can destroy nearby blocks and bombs.
How do I complete a level?
Use bombs to destroy bricks and uncover hidden chests. Once you collect every chest on the board, the exit gate will open.
