More about this game

Your goal is to slay the Hollow Maw and its minions before your 80 health points run out. Each turn, you receive 3 energy to spend on a hand of 5 drawn cards. You must choose between dealing direct damage, applying vulnerability, or gaining block to survive attacks. Unused cards go to the discard pile, and you draw a fresh hand next turn. The battle ends in victory when all four enemies are defeated, or in defeat if your health drops to zero.

Tips
  • The Bash card costs 2 energy and applies 2 vulnerability to a target, which increases the damage they take from subsequent attacks by 50 percent.
  • The Cultist enemy grants 7 block to the surviving enemy with the lowest health, so try to eliminate the Cultist quickly to prevent them from shielding the Hollow Maw.
  • Your accumulated block resets to zero at the start of your turn, so only spend energy on Defend cards if you see that enemies intend to attack you.
Questions

How do I get more cards to play?

You automatically draw a new hand of 5 cards at the start of every turn. If your draw pile is empty, your discard pile is instantly shuffled back into it.

What does the vulnerability status effect do?

Vulnerability multiplies all incoming damage by 1.5. For example, a standard 6-damage Strike card will deal 9 damage to a vulnerable enemy, helping you break through their health faster.

How much damage do the different enemies deal?

The Hollow Maw intends to attack for 12 damage each turn, while the two Ink Minions attack for 5 damage each. The Cultist does not attack, but instead provides block to its allies.
